Hello,
In a user’s local address book, there are some contacts without e-mail address. If the user sends a mail to one of these contacts then Notes sends the mail without any warning. Of course the server sends a non-delivery failure back to the sender but why Notes does not warns the user because the missing valid mail address? Also when user send mail one of the contacts stored in the local address book then after the sending, Notes completes the contact’s name with @ and company’s domain name in the ’To’ field such as this: Joe Doe@example.org
We use Domino 8.5.2 and Notes 8.5.2 and I think Notes-Domino works natively as I described above. But the user’s claiming it did not work this way in version 7 of Notes-Domino. Is it true? Did Notes popped up any warning message if somebody tried to send mail to any contact without an email address? If yes, why was it changed in Domino 8.5?
Thanks in advance,
Istvan
