RE: Database search formula

You created a document that you think matches the search criteria, but apparently it doesn't. Find the document in a view, open the document properties dialog (still from the view) and use the second tab to see the values of the Form and notify fields. If it seems unclear, you can use the Execute Formula function of the Developers' Toolbar Icon code below to try out your search formula on that document, one clause at a time, to see which of the expressions you're &ing together return False.

If you use the toolbar button to try out your whole search expression on your document and it returns true (1), then there's something else going on that we can't know about because you're still not giving much information. For instance: you're searching the wrong database, you're interpreting the results of Search incorrectly, you're accidentally destroying the contents of coll before you go look at it, ...? There's so little we can tell from two lines of code.

Note: This article on the Notes Toolbar contains other developer aids you can install into your toolbar, including a version of the code below that offers more functions.
