Hello, we have recently implemented a new Helpdesk software from which we can send and receive email conversations (to internal and external email addresses). Unfortunately, whenever we attempt to send an email conversation to an Internal user whose Internet Address is not included on the SMTP Inbound Controls list, a Delivery Failure 554 Mail for email@example.com rejected for policy reasons message is returned.
There should be no reason for the email from the Helpdesk software to be going outside the company if it's sent to an internal address and then coming back in, but it should be routing internally. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening? The Helpdesk support has not been of great help with this issue. Thanks.
