fougere nf nicfe 23.Oct.06 08:11 AM a Web browser
Domino Server 6.0.2 CF2 Windows XP

1>I create a new map network in my server to domino for the new link :
Is the syntax is correct ?

The mapped network i create is
G:\\server02\d$\lotus\domino\data
It is correct ? Can i put d$ .. because i don't want that people can see the folder or to have a shared folder Lotus .

2> i create the new link with administrator client
Link name : info2
Path ti that folder G:\

The new folder link info2 is created and appear.

3> But when i move a database to the folder info2 it says
Received the error - Remote pathname must be relative to Data Directory - replicating info2\WebView.nsf to LotusNotes.

-If i do a new copy of the database to info2 , it says access to data denied lotusnotes info2\webview.nsf

When I read the technote at

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=463&context=SSKTMJ&context=SSKTWP&dc=DA490&dc=DA4A10&dc=DB520&dc=DB530&dc=DA4A30&dc=DA480&dc=D700&dc=DB500&dc=DA4A20&dc=DA440&dc=DA460&dc=DA430&dc=DA470&dc=DB550&dc=D600&dc=DA420&dc=DA500&dc=DA410&dc=DB540&dc=DA400&dc=DB510&q1=create+new+link&uid=swg21089707&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en

it says ...
*Never make a directory link point to the root of any drive.
Point to local drives only.

very strange this technote ?? ... this is perhaps my problem because the root point to a map drive to another server ....

please tell me and can you confirm me .
