I gather data from lots of checkboxes on a form (quantity varies). As a value, each checkbox gets a "city name" + "_" + "infosession date", and each time a form is submitted, the following string (e.g.) is being saved from checkboxes into the "infosessionChoices" field on the form:
CITY1_DATE1, CITY2_DATE2, CITY3_DATE3
etc., with these comma separated values ranging from 1 to many (since the quantity and values of checkboxes varies)
At the same time, the same form gathers visitor name and details, so the idea is for the visitor to register for one or many info sessions in different cities.
Now, my question is:
I need to create a view which will categorise by city, then categorise by info session date, and then show who is registered for a particular info session. How can I do that?
I do the following in my view at the moment, and it's almost solves my problem, but ... only almost:
1. City (categorised, sorted, formula = @If(@Contains(infosessionChoices; "_"); @Left(infosessionChoices; "_"); "");
2. Infosession Date
3. Attendant Name
This works fine and produces the following (e.g.)
BUT i need it to be:
The thing is, when I try to categorise also by info session date, putting the folowing formula (@If(@Contains(infosessionChoices; "_"); @Right(infosessionChoices; "_"); "")), then it gives weird results. E.g., if the person registered for London_01/03/2007 and Paris_27/03/2007, the view shows that person also in Paris 01/03/07, which does not even exist!
Sorry for overloading you with this info, but hope that it is understandable. I would really appreciate any help/advice!
The main idea is to be able to collect values of N number of checkboxes, consisting of "location_date" scheme, and then display these values in a view categorised by location, and then by info session date.
