Domino Server 6.0.3 All Platforms

We have a database with 100,000 documents. The size now is 300 meg. Everynight an agent runs and connects to Db2 using lsxlc and pushes/pulls changes on the domino side. Since this week when ever this agent is run, the database first becomes unworkable. It just hangs. Can't even see the database properties. If we try to open the database, it waits and waits and throws me "Network Operation did not complete in a reasonable amount of time" and after sometime the server goes down. No error in the error log. Then once the server is re-booted everything works fine. Instead of comparing 100,000 records, if i minimize the loop to 5000 then the agent runs fine.

One possibility for this problem could be our network admins working on upgrading some network servers. When i contacted them they said they didn't even touch the domino server. They said they are working on some "Domain Controllers/VM servers" only.

Its a new domino server installed recently.Server Running on version 6.0.1 and notes client running on 7.0.3

Could it be due to Memory/CPU issues ?

Thanks a million in advance.
