Our main Domino server has been executing an unplanned but nearly predictable lockup about once a month since last Nov (*). In an effort to eliminate the problem, I'm planning to add a program document to the server to do the nserver -c "restart server" every Monday morning at about 3 am.
I've searched the forum and have run across some posts that indicate that this might not work and, worse, leave the server in a constant restart mode.
Before I kill our production box...
A. Should this work?
B. Is there a reason it won't work?
C. Is there any way to guarantee it will work?
I've seen this post:

so if the nserver as a program doc is a bad idea, let me know and I'll do his short bat file at the end.
Thanks for your feedback.
