Hello

The business has a need to enforce a "lock out" on a database for a given period. This will be an ongoing event - basically change editor access to reader access for a 3 day period each fortnight. Basically, a payroll process that needs people not to make changes to the documents whilst it is happening.

Doing a concept test with NotesACLEntry class, i change the ACL to reflect the desired change. If they close the database, or re authenticate with the server, the ACL change is enforced. However, if the user has the database open, they can continue to work as "editor".

Using admin client, i can "drop database" which enforces the ACL change even if the user has it open. Based on this i thought to use the Notessession method SendConsoleCommand.

e.g.
consoleCommand$ = |Drop "test.nsf"|
Call session.SendConsoleCommand( serverName$, consoleCommand$)
Messagebox consoleReturn$,, consoleCommand$

Messagebox returns as blank. Message appears on the console.
> Drop "test.nst" >C:\windows\temp\rem65535.com

No error message is shown/returned. But the access is not changed. And if i view the Database users view in the admin client (after refresh), the database is still showing it has connections.

In server security, the field 'Full Remote Console Administrators' shows our Lotus Admin group (of which i am a member).

It appears that the console command is not being actioned. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance
Andrew
