I have been trying to do some research on this, but to no avail I have not found a solution as of yet.
I have already uninstalled and then re-installed Lotus Notes to the Client PC. But I still receive the error:
"NSD Is Running

This just started happening today. I have not encountered this error. I have tried to repair Lotus Notes with the cd, but still same error. I have also tried to go into the command prompt and issue the "nsd -kill" command that I saw on another post, but that it all came back "access denied".
There has not been an issue for the 2 1/2 years that I've been working here til today. We have resident advisers who all log into 1 account (central) for their network credentials, but they all have separate accounts for Lotus Notes. Whats weird is that when I log onto the admin acct on this pc, I can log into Lotus Notes fine (with anyone). But when I log on as Central on this pc, and try to get onto Lotus Notes, I receive the NSD is Running error. I have made the "Central" account a power user to see if that would make a difference, but it didn't. I also tried to make another user for this pc, but when I logged on and tried to get into Lotus Notes, I received the same error. It seems as if the account needs to have admin rights to even log onto Lotus Notes. But I don't want the resident advisors to have the admin rights.
Is there a solution for this problem? Or do I have to contact IBM about this problem? My company has had this version (6.5.2) for numerous years and don't have a warranty any more. Are we suppose to have a warranty if I need to contact IBM?
