Hi,
I am new to Lotus Notes administration and have a question about recertification. Every so often I check which users are due for expiry under Notes Administration>Configuration>Certificates>Certificate expiration. If I know user are still on the system, I will click the 'Recertify Selected People' button and given them a new expiry date.
If I do this however, I still have users ring up saying that they are receiving a message that their ID has expired. I then have to go into Notes administrator>Certification>Certify, and then recertify a copy of their ID that we have. I then replace their existing ID with the one I have just recertified.
My question is, is it right that I have to 'recertify' in two different places (Eg, recertify their person document and also their ID file)? I would have thought that recertifying their person document would suffice, but obviously not! I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, if we're setup wrong (or differently), or some other reason.
