Hi,
I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction. I did have a lovely working domino server that was sitting in my test environment until I had to rename the physical server to a different name so that I could put it into my production environment.
I haven't renamed the domino server just the physical box. I have made sure that the DNS entries updated and I can ping my server by the new name and by the domino name and I get responses back. Domino launches fine on the server no errors on the console.
However when I try to connect to it via domino admin I get a "The remote server is not a know TCP/IP Host". I can trace it from another server using the domino name and the ip address and it comes back saying it is connected. I changed the TCP/IP port in the server doc as it mentioned the old server name as the port, so I changed it to the new hardware name and tried changing it to the domino server name as other domino servers I have, have them as either the physical server name or as the domino name.
Any ideas where I am going wrong. It doesn't mention the old server name anywhere in the notes.ini file and I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
Any help as ever will be greatly appreciated.
