It worked for me when I used the dc = parentdoc.responses method, which obviously isn't useful in all cases, but thought I'd mention it.

In my case, I was just trying to force specific folders in the main mail file to appear inside all the known archive files. I created a dummy document in the backend and did a doc.MakeResponse(Parentdoc) to attach it to the message where the button resided (the code was distributed via email as a button). I then added it to the folder in question, and then used db.ArchiveNow(dc, archivename) and it worked like a charm.
