I guess I should have more verbose.
We're using a java agent to compose and send the email containing text and a link in the message body via richtext.
body = body + "http://" + "www.ourwebsite.com/rsdis/renewals/renewals-rs.nsf/v2_pdf?openform&ParentUNID="+ rq.getItemValueString("docid");
displays as text in the recipients Outlook email. If the recipient is using Notes mail, the link is fine and clicking on it opens the document in the browser.
If the recipient is using Outlook, the link is received as text which the recipient has to copy and paste into his browser, which then opens the document in the browser.
The users are upset because they don't like to have to copy and paste what should be a clickable link,
The problem is not Outlook, but Notes passing the email to our Exchange server.
