A customer has a database for recording and tracking IT helpdesk requests. This database is setup as a mail-in db, so users can submit help requests by sending mail to the database.
They have asked to have an alert popup in the Notes client for their helpdesk staff (similar to the standard Notes new mail notification I guess) when this database receives email.
Can anyone suggest a (simple) way to do this?
My own idea was to have a custom home page for the helpdesk staff. The home page would use a timer to check for new email in the helpdesk database, then display a messagebox when new email is found.
