I have a database with a lot of documents with office objects attached (zero or one per Notes document). Recently I attached some Powerpoint presentations using "Create -> Object -> Object from a file" to the database on the server.
After this the database faild to replicate and I found the following errors in the logs:
Unable to replicate prodok.nsf: Invalid or nonexistent document
Unable to replicate with server myserver/mydomain: Invalid or nonexistent document
I decided to run fixup against the database on the server:
> load fixup prodok.nsf
deleted all my Powerpoint presentations and creted log entries like this:
21.11.2005 18:18:39 Document NT00000C76 in database h:\lotus\domino\myserver\prodok.nsf is damaged: Document attachment is invalid
21.11.2005 18:18:39 Document (UNID OFC8D7F041:952B2248-ONC12570C0:005EAD86) in database h:\lotus\domino\myserver\prodok.nsf has been deleted
In order to locate the porblem I recreated three Powerpoint prresentations. As expected the probplem reappeared, but only for two of the three newly created documents.
Now I'm worried since we have a lot of Office objects in our project databases and there will be a lot of damage if I'm going to lose them. In addition our customers are using Office document objects and attachments very often, too.
Are there any known problems?
