Input Validation formula to require name picked from names.nsf

Platform: Windows XP

I have the following formula in a form field input validation. It's been working fine for months and all of the sudden today, even if I choose a name from names.nsf, I get the error messsage. The only thing that I know of that has changed is that we are not using a local replica of our mail database, instead of office. Any idea why the error message all of the sudden? Thanks.
