Has anyone seen a noticable perfomance difference in 8.5? I know at Lotusphere last year, I went to a session about the upcoming 8.5 version and the speaker mentioned that developers were trying to streamline the application and make it far less taxing on users machines. Has anyone noticed this in version 8.5 beta?
The company I work for just migrated over from Exchange, and have noticed terrible performance hit between the two. We have had to boost the memory on users machine up to 2GB and in many cases are fully replacing people's machines in an attempt to get performance anywhere near their Outlook clients of the past. It seems Outlook far far more lightweight than Notes.
