Subject: XPages in Notes Client (V 8.5.1 CD5)
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Domino Designer on Eclipse (DDE)
Technical Area: New Features
Platform: Not Applicable
Release: Announcement
Reproducible: Unknown

finally found the time to install V 8.5.1 CodeDrop 5 last evening. I don't know if questions regarding Code Drop versions are welcome here, I'll give it try anyways:

In a sample application I'm using for XPages and Themes workshops, I set the Client launch options to "Open designated XPage" ==> <name of XPage>

Now if I open that DB in the client I receive a nice Dojo tundra designed page telling me that "XPages are not yet enabled for this platform" and then "You can launch this application in Notes by changing the client launch options in Domino Designer".

Well that's what I did: changed the launch options to "...XPage..." in Designer. But still the same.

So: what do I have to do to open an XPage in the client using 8.5.1 CD5?

EDIT: found the solution for this one: had to edit an .ini parameter.

But the issue below remains...

Another thing I observed here:

some of my XPages contain underscores "_" in their names, as in "Final_index". Now this works perfectly with pure web based apps. But obviously in the Notes client the underscore "_" part of the XPage name is treated as it always was in Forms and Views, i.e. as a shortcut symbol, at least in the client launch options dialog the underscores are omitted, while in the web browser launch options dialog they're still there:

Is this intended behaviour, meaning: do we have to avoid underscores in naming XPages if we want them to be usable in the Notes client?
