Subject: [Solved] Decline + "keep informed" removes ghosted calendar entries
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: User Interface
Platform: ALL
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

Hello,

several users complained that Lotus Notes is removing the ghosted calendar entries when user "Declines" the meeting invite.

This brings us trouble. Because in the organization they want to be able to keep track of this.

The only way that a declined meeting is being ghosted is if:
0) An invite is received and a ghosted entry is present
THEN
1) When declining and "Keep me informed about updated" is checked.
(Now the ghosted entry is removed)
THEN
2) Chair updates the meeting
then suddenly the meeting reappear as ghosted entry again!

How to keep meetings ghosted without requiring meeting update from Chair?

[Update 20121002]
Thanks for the information Susan!

I wish that this would be implemented in a future version. I will open a PMR to add support for this.
