Subject: Help with Sample diiop Application Provided by IBM
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Other
Technical Area: Application Development
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Always

Hello - Can someone please help me with this simple java issue I am having? I am trying to compile and run the "Sample Java DIIOP applications for testing connectivity to a Domino server" provided by IBM at this web site:

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21994330

I have little experience coding java. I am getting an error simply compiling the code for both platform6.java and corba.java

his seems so basic and I can't believe I am having such a problem.

Here is what I am entering and the error I get:

C:\MyApplications>javac -cp .;NCSO.jar platform6.java
platform6.java:27: error: cannot access ORB
Session s = NotesFactory.createSession(host, user, pwd);
^
class file for org.omg.CORBA.ORB not found
1 error

NCSO.jar is in the folder C:\MyApplications. I have a simple HelloWorld app that is working.

I feel like there may be a typo in the jar files but I don't know how to determine what it is.

Please help! I need to test proper settings for accessing Domino server via diiop.

Thank you,
Robert
