Subject: Moving Lotus Traveler to another server in the same domain
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Notes Traveler
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: -Reproducibility-

Hi all,
I need to move Lotus Traveler to ServerA/Organization to ServerB/Organization. I don't want to reconfigure the clients (several remote iPads).
I read the steps in the article "Moving Lotus Notes Traveler to a new server: LNT8521" (http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/dominowiki.nsf/dx/Moving_Lotus_Notes_Traveler_to_a_new_server_LNT8521) but I cannot move all the data directory to the new server, since the new server is not being installed from scratch, but is an existing server currently in production.
I'm planning to perform these steps:
1) shutting down ServerA
2) installing Traveler on ServerB
3) moving from serverA to serverB a subset of files found on data directory (all under /traveler/ maybe?)
4) change DNS to move the hostname used by the iPads from serverA to serverB
5) change configuration documents in the Domino Directory to have ServerB perform the same tasks performed by ServerA, that includes Internet Site documents, server document, and maybe something else

Do you think I am following the right procedure? Anybody had this experience before?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Alessio
