Subject: How can you turn off the 'Continuous error reporting' feature

I find the 'Continuous error reporting' feature in Designer very distracting. I thought I could control it using the Preference option "Content assist auto activation delay". But I've set it to 9999 and it still pops up. Is there somewhere else to set it?
