I have installed the beta 3 on vista ultimate, without connecting to a domino server, just configured a pop email account (as I did with the beta 2)
1. Contacts:
a. opening the contacts displays an error box with 'can't find view'
b. I added a contact, but the contact is not displayed. Nothing is displayed at all, no list, I see only 'Anonymous' and 'Local' at the left side.
Where are the contacts?????
2. Calendar:
no calendar is displayed. I see at the left side the navigator, but no calender (month, day, week) view.
Adding a new appointment does not work.
3. Shortcuts
Shortcuts a no longer consistent: In the new appointment dialog Alt+1 is to save, but now in the contacts dialog it is Alt+2
4. Dialogs:
many dialog needs a resolution of more than 1280x1024 pixel, this much to big to be usable.
Why do I need a dialog for a new contact of that size and with scroll bars and with at lot of unneeded space around it.
On some dialogs the left side is cut, so the text is displayed incomplete. One have to scroll horizontal, but the horizontal scroll bar is not shown.
So, the beta 3 looks much better, but it is unusable!
The beta 2 did work well, but I cannot do tests with the beta 3 with the contacts or the calendar, because they do not work at all.
I would say the beta 2 was Version R7.9 beta and the beta3 now is R8 pre alpha 0
