Subject: Lost Inbox - orphaned e-mails ?
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes 8 Client
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Windows XP client
Release: 8.0
Reproducible: Unknown

This morning I came into the office and got a boat load of pop up messages about some kind of error - not very descriptive. After clicking OK for over 5 minutes I was able to see my notes client folders. The INBOX was *EMPTY* and the other folders had a different design (not the mail8 design but a mail65 design - thx to a change to the design on our ND7 servers which replicated down to my local file).

I went to the workspace and did a replace design, then shutdown notes, deleted the cache.ndk and ran:
    ..\nfixup -f -J mail\lbdyck.nsf
    ..\ncompact -B mail\lbdyck.nsf
..\nupdall -R mail\lbdyck.nsf

Restarted Notes and the INBOX was still empty. I opened a server copy of the mail file and it had the same issue - an empty INBOX.

I can see e-mails that used to be in the inbox in the -View - Mail view.

Is there anyway to identify mail documents that are orphaned and move them to the INBOX?
