Subject: How to get LTPA token in a plugin
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Notes 8 Client
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Windows XP client
Release: 8.0
Reproducible: Always

I'm working on a Notes plugin, and I interact with a website, but I need to authenticate with thh website so I'm trying to get the LTPA token.

I've tried the following:

public Header() {
try {
NotesJob job = new NotesJob("Job description") {
protected IStatus runInNotesThread(IProgressMonitor mon) {
//notes.jar code here
Session session = NotesPlatform.getInstance().getSession();
System.out.println("Token Value: " + session.getSessionToken());
} catch (Exception ex){ex.printStackTrace();}
return Status.OK_STATUS;
} catch (Exception ex){

and I get an error:

NotesException: Notes error: Router: SMTP Authentication disabled. No relay host specified in server config doc.

To be honest I don't see how Notes SMTP routing relates to LTPA, but that is besides the point. I have SMTP Authentication enabled.

I'm using and not the notes.jar, does anyone have an example of how to get the LTPA token from the Notes session in a Notes plugin?
