Subject: too much gray fonts -- eyes get tired if working for long hours.
Feedback Type: Suggestion
Product Area: Notes 8 Client
Technical Area: User Interface
Platform: Windows XP client
Release: Beta 2
Reproducible: Always

Mail 8 looks good, but using gray color for the fonts in the views/folders is terrible for a bit older eyes. (I am 52 years old)

I do see well, have a good 17 inch LCD, and correct glasses.

Please, IBM had some good studies in the "IBM Journal" in the past about colors user on displays/terminals.
Selecting colors that do not make our eyes tired was and is very important. More now with so many colors available.

The washed-out (?) colors are nice for backgrounds and other data that should not be in the way distracting our attention.
Makes for nicer appearance, but, we still need to work with the data for many hours and I immediatelly noticed that using this gray letters in the view is making my eyes tired.
