Multiple Users - Read/UnRead Marks

I have two users sharing one mail file on the server.  The read/unread marks are not syncing between the two, they each see their own but not each others.  Is there a way to sync read/unread marks between 2 users in real time?

That's how unread marks work. They are per user, not per database.
You could have someone that knows Domino development modify the mail file design, so that some kind of flag, that is visible to all users when someone opens the email.

Adding to Carl's reply
As Carl notes, that is how unread marks are designed. Depending on the use case, there might be a scenario where it makes sense to have a shared ID, in which case the unread marks would appear the same for both users because Domino considers them the same. Typically that's not recommended for security/audit purposes, but I know it's done in some cases where those concerns don't exist or are negligible.

Unread Marks

Unread marks are based upon the ID file which "reads" the email.  Each user in a mail file will have his own unread marks table. short of modifying the mail file, there is no way to synchronize the unread marks using two separate ID files.
