Windows 10 - Sametime User Status Issue

I've noticed with Windows 10, Sametime is not switching the status to away when the LOCK screen is reached, instead it sets status to away when the LOGIN screen is reached. So on our windows 10 computers, we can hit windows+L to lock it and it will show that the user is still available indefinitely until either: A) you hit a key and it brings you to the login credentials screen, or B) the screensaver kicks on. Once either of these occurs, the user is then set to away. There is a similar screen on our 8.1 units and the functionality works normally there.

Is there a work around or fix for this in sametime/notes? I would really hate to have to disable the lock screen in GP just to get sametime to show a user is away as soon as they lock their computer.

-Notes 9.0.1, both FP7 and 8
-Tried both the notes included sametime install and the standalone install.
