Hi together,

I am a new user with Lotus Notes 9.0.1 and hope you can help me.

Is there a way that attached documents open immediately? I want to skip the dialogue box. There is a way for windows changing parameters in the .ini file. But there are not such attributes in the preferences file.

The second question is: I am working with two account under one client. Can I store and save two different signatures?

Thanks  a lot for helping me

Attachments & Signature..

Check your Notes.ini file for an entry: 'AttachmentActionDefault' - If not present or set to '0' set it to '1' - ie:   'AttachmentActionDefault=1'. You'll probably want to edit the notes.ini with the Notes client closed....

I don't remember if there is a preference dialog for this - I set it automatically for my users.

You can set 1 signature per mail file - so if you've got two accounts - you should be able to set the Signature for each.  Click 'More -> Preferences -> Signature'.

Customer should be warned about auto-opening attachments. He just became very vulnerable t...

The entire reason for a computer not automatically running programs is the vulnerability to hacking. Wire that directly into someone's email, and the problem is remarkably easy to see.

I agree, but....

I agree with the need to be security conscious, but I kinda feel like the exposure is still there whether you see the dialog box every time or not.

This doesn't automatically open the attachment, it just suppresses the dialog box that, honestly, after seeing it 317 times, get a little old.

Unless I'm missing something obvious, and if I am I sincerely apologize.

I was thinking he wanted the attachments opened immediately, but maybe not now that I read...

There're some "fun" things you can do with Outlook .... that are really not very pleasant in their result if someone wants to bring down the system.

If it takes a click, I don't much see the problem. Caveat operator.

Wish me luck!

Well, after administering two Domino domains for 18 1/2 years, my mail was just migrated to O365 last night.
