I have seen changes that where done on the fly and not saved.   Like I said dbefore you need to have a network person work with you on troubleshooting this issue.    Here is a technote I found for troubleshooting firewall issues.    Remember all troubleshooting connectivity test need to be done while connected to a public connection not internal to your company.
