 IBM Custom Content Assembler featuring Lotus Sametime Advanced content


Overview IBM® Custom Content Assembler is a pilot application that lets users search and assemble technical and learning content into a custom PDF or HTML file. This application is now available to customers from Lotus Labs. The first set of content in this pilot is about IBM Lotus® Sametime® Advanced 8.0.1.

IBM Custom Content Assembler provides the following features:
  • Access to a variety of content types such as product documentation and learning information.
  • Retrieve content based on a variety of criteria, such as audience and task.
  • View collections of topics (known as maps) through familiar navigation on the left.
  • One-click action to create a custom PDF or HTML document.

Step #1: Filter content source

Use the criteria selectors to select the type of content you want to find, then select Image:IBM Custom Content Assembler featuring Lotus Sametime Advanced content.

Step #2: View topics

IBM Custom Content Assembler displays the resulting topics in a table. To view a topic, click the topic title and it will open in a new window or tab.


Step #3: Build a custom document


Click the icon Image:IBM Custom Content Assembler featuring Lotus Sametime Advanced content to build a custom document.


Select the portions of content to include in your custom document using the check boxes next to each topic:

Step #4: Name and create the document

Enter a name for your custom document, select whether you want the output in PDF or HTML format, and click Image:IBM Custom Content Assembler featuring Lotus Sametime Advanced content.
