Scheduled maintenance at IBM.COM on the weekend of September 4-5, 2010 will impact the availability of IBM technical support content and tools.  The outage will start on Saturday, September 4th at 6am ET and will end on Sunday, September 5th at 10pm ET.  

The scheduled maintenance will affect the availability of IBM Electronic Support content and tools in the following ways:

No impact - no outage

  • Lotus wikis, blogs, and forums
  • Service Request application
  • Fix Central
  • Assist On-Site
  • My Notifications
  • Information Centers on publib.boulder.ibm.com should be unaffected

High impact - outage times will be Sat., Sep. 4 at 10:40am ET through Sun., Sep. 5 at 4:05am ET
  • Technical support content (technotes)
  • Technical support content will not be accessible
  • Search will provide results, but links will not reach content
  • Google will provide results, but links will not reach content, although there is a possibility Google may be able to display cached content
  • Support Portal
  • Will be operational
  • Site availability & news portlet will contain information on the outage
  • Search will provide results, but links will not reach content
  • Portlet links will be visible, but the links will not render technical content

Medium impact - Sat., Sep. 4 at 6am ET through Sun., Sep. 5 at 10pm ET
  • Pages located at www.ibm.com/software/brandname/support/*.*  and /software/support/ will not be accessible
  • Technical Exchange Webcast, Q&A, Help, and FAQ document content will not be available
  • IBM Software Support Lifecycle application and content will be not be available
  • Customer Bookmarks from the previous IBM Software Support pages (e.g., www.ibm.com/software/support/websphere) will not work
  • All redirects under software/support will not work
