Lotus Domino 8 introduced an often-requested feature -- Internet Password Lockout, the ability to lock a Web user's account after a number of failed log-in attempts (for details, refer to "Securing Internet passwords" in the Domino Administrator Help). However, if you want to tell your users why they are unable to access the Domino Web server, you have to modify the log-in form to provide a reason. Our Web Server Support team has documented the steps for you. Check out "How to inform users if user account has been locked out for Domino HTTP authentication" (#1308550).
