  • IBM is introducing a new way to access technical support information for all of your IBM products and services - the IBM Support Portal. The IBM Support Portal can be customized based on your product inventory, entitlement, and geography.  It allows you to personalize the pages to focus on exactly the information and resources you need for problem prevention and faster problem resolution.  Try the early release of the IBM Support Portal today and give us your feedback.
    • New Support sites and RSS feeds for Lotus Quickr.  Update your RSS feeds to indicate for which Lotus Quickr services you wish to receive notifications.
    • Review product announcement #209-270 to learn about the addition of support for the AIX 5.3 operating system and Oracle 10.2 database for Lotus Quickr services for WebSphere Portal.
    • The IBM Support Assistant Lite (ISALite) tool for Lotus Quickr services for WebSphere Portal provides automatic data collection and symptom analysis support for Lotus Quickr problem determination scenarios.  For more information, refer to "Download the IBM Support Assistant Lite for WebSphere Portal tool."
    • The Multimedia Library for Lotus Software expands its offering with the addition of the NEW Multimedia Library for Lotus Quickr 8.2. This training solution teaches individuals how to use IBM Lotus Quickr to rapidly maximize their productivity. There are over 275 video tutorials, using flash animation and voice that demonstrate how to perform specific tasks within Quickr Places, Folders, Connectors and more.

    1.        Blank page or JavaScript error "Object expected" after install or upgrade of Lotus Quickr 8.2 (#1389017)
    Lotus Quickr 8.2 services for Lotus Domino requires that you enable the Domino Servlet Engine.  If you do not, your users might see blank pages or the JavaScript error "Object expected.
    2.        When should qptool upgrade -f be used? (#1389124)
    When upgrading from one major release of Quickr/QuickPlace to another, should you use the command "load qptool upgrade -a -f" against all places or not?
    3.        Folder view preferences lost when switching folders after upgrade to 8.2 (#1389893)
    After you upgrade to Lotus Quickr 8.2 services for Lotus Domino, users report that folder view preferences are lost when switching folders.
    4.        Button "Add place to your connectors" results in error "Page cannot be displayed" (#1390525)
    When using the WebUI button "Add place to your connectors" in Lotus Quickr 8.2 services for Lotus Domino, the error "Page cannot be displayed" occurs, and the Place is not added to the Connectors.
    5.        Upgrading from QuickPlace to Lotus Quickr - documentation and fix pack (#1395815)
    The documentation and fixes necessary to upgrade from Lotus QuickPlace 6.5.1 or 7.0 to Lotus Quickr 8.2, without having to follow a multi-layered upgrade approach, are available.
    6.        Server hang when users connect to places over the Web with Lotus Quickr 8.2 on Domino 8.5 (#1397238)
    Domino 8.5/Quickr 8.2 server hangs when connecting to places over the web.  Subsequently, the Domino server becomes unresponsive via the web (both Quickr places and regular databases) and via a Notes client.
    7.        Is Domino 8.5.1 server supported with Lotus Quickr 8.2? (#1405839)
    Lotus Quickr 8.2 services for Lotus Domino is supported to run on the Domino 8.5.1 server version, in addition to Domino 8.5.0 and 8.5.0 FP1.

    Your users are unable to log in to a place in Lotus Quickr services for Lotus Domino when "Force login on SSL" is set to Yes in the Server document.

    6.        Creating a PlaceBot using LotusScript
    A PlaceBot is an agent written in LotusScript or Java that can perform a task and can manipulate data in a place. This article explains how to create a LotusScript agent, export it to an .lss file, create the PlaceBot and import the .lss file, and manage the PlaceBot.

    1.        Wiki shows no documents when you click All Pages in Lotus Quickr for WebSphere Portal (#1291398)
    A wiki shows no documents when you click All Pages in a place in Lotus Quickr services for WebSphere Portal.  You also notice that the blog shows no posts, although you know some exist.
    2.        Folder list does not appear when moving or copying a file or folder with external Web server (#1296918)
    When you move a file or folder in a library component in IBM Lotus Quickr services for WebSphere Portal, the folder list never appears.
    3.        Incorrect member display after LDAP user is deleted (#1370287)
    After you delete a user in LDAP, that user's display name when viewing members of a Lotus Quickr services for WebSphere Portal place is "????".
    4.        Quickr Services for WebSphere Portal Backup and Restore Fails on Large Places (#1377017)
    The Quickr Services for WebSphere Portal backup and restore procedure may fail if conducted on places which contain large amounts of content in a library component.
    5.        Fixes Available: Authoring or Syndicating content during the Daylight Saving Time change logs StaleValueException (#1377989)
    The StaleValueException is a normal exception thrown by the Java Content Repository (JCR) when the content being saved on the current node is different from the latest version of that node in the database. This can also occur during the Daylight Saving Time (DST) change. Fixes are available for WebSphere Portal, Lotus Web Content Management, Workplace Web Content Management, and Lotus Quickr services for WebSphere Portal.
    6.        Error 404 when downloading the Lotus Quickr connectors (#1392071)
    Provides steps to troubleshoot an error 404 when a user downloads the Lotus Quickr connectors from a Lotus Quickr services for WebSphere Portal server.
    7.        WebSphere Application Server Fixpack 31 breaks ability to share links to Quickr content (#1392418)
    Administrators are advised not to upgrade the WebSphere Application Server to fixpack 31 (WAS 6.0.2.31) when used with Quickr Services for WebSphere Portal.
    8.        Configuring IBM Lotus Quickr services for WebSphere Portal to use Oracle (#1392466)
