| Recent favorites | Notes 8.5.1 users who install Fix Pack 1 will only be able to install the Sametime 8.5 embedded upgrade one time. Attempts to install any later Sametime add-on, whether for another Sametime product or a Sametime 8.5 fix pack, result in errors. A fix for this issue is in Notes 8.5.1 Fix Pack 2. IBM Lotus Support hosted a Webcast about the more common install and configuration issues for Lotus Sametime 8.5 and their resolutions on 24 March 2010. A recording of this session is available for download. When you attempt install of the proxy server, it begins to run then stalls at approximately 90% complete. The operation never completes. Steps to add the Sametime 8.5 embedded client to the Lotus Notes 8.5.1 install kit Summary of the 64-bit information from the system requirements for the Lotus Sametime 8.5. When configuring Sametime 8.5 to use a Domino LDAP server, a 'base dn" must be specified. If not, you might experience issues when resolving Sametime Policies for your authenticated users, which will in turn prevent users from being able to create or attend meetings Sametime users receive "This feature has not been enabled" when trying to download the version 8.0 client after the system administrator has implemented the Sametime Information Center instructions on how to deploy the 8.0 Connect client. The McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator service uses port 8081 by default. If this service is deployed on a Sametime server, it might result in a port conflict.
