I just used this feature again today, and thought it would be something nice to share!
Have you ever needed to chat with someone, but they are away, or in a meeting, or on Do Not Distrub? Instead of constantly checking on their Sametime status, you can set a neat reminder that will alert you when that person becomes available to chat.
Right-click the person's name in your Sametime Contacts list, and select Alert Me When Available:
An alert icon () will appear next to their name, and when they become available, you get a notice in the bottom right corner of your screen:
