Lotus Notes 8.x Tips

Your guide to what's great about Notes 8 (and higher)

In version 8, we changed the user experience for selecting documents.  The new way to select documents followed the Windows model, using the Shift and Ctrl keys.  While this is intuitive to new users of Notes, our existing base asked us to re-instate the old school model that employs the space bar and check marks.

If you prefer this method of selection, go to File->Preferences.  In the Basic Notes Client Configuration, you can scroll down to the bottom of the list of Additional options and check Show check marks in margin for selected documents.
