Users of WASCE 184.108.40.206 may notice a lag in performance during JSP compilation of a model. This occurs when a model has a stale, or non-existant jsp. The delay will be seen while the browser waits for a response from the server. Upgrading to WASCE 220.127.116.11 will greatly decrease the JSP compilation time, and enhance response time. For users of WPF 18.104.22.168 and 22.214.171.124, download WASCE 126.96.36.199 from the following location:http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/downloads/ws/wasce/?S_TACT=105AGX28&S_CMP=DLMAIN&S_CMP=rnav
After WASCE has been installed, the following step needs to be performed, to ensure that the proper JRE is used:
- Locate the bin directory of WASCE (eg. IBM\WebSphere\AppServerCommunityEdition\bin )
- open the setenv.bat file and towards the top of the page, locate the following line:
- Modify the value, and point it to the JRE location of your WebSphere Portlet Factory Eclipse JRE install location
(eg. C:\Program Files\IBM\Portlet Factory\Eclipse\jre )
- Save changes.
This step is automatically performed by embedded versions of WASCE that WPF ships with. Subsequent releases of WPF will only require the preceeding steps
if you're manually installing a WASCE server.
