IBM WebSphere Portlet Factory provides qualified support for Web Services for Remote Portlets (WSRP) 1.0 and 2.0 on IBM WebSphere Portal and IBM WebSphere Application Server. Refer to the producer/consumer matrix below for supported configurations.
WebSphere Portlet Factory provides no support for the following builders/functions when utilizing WSRP:
· Partial-page refresh and Ajax operations
· Usage of PUMA API and any portlets that utilize the PUMA API
· Content Launch Action builder
· Content Model builders
· Excel Export builder
· Lotus Forms Embed and Lotus Forms launch builders
· WebSphere Portal Group Segment Handler
· Edit Defaults
Note: Limitations listed above are not inclusive of any limitations imposed by WebSphere Portal and/or WSRP specifications
Cooperative portlets (Property Broker) are only supported when using the JSR-286 portlet standard when WebSphere Portal 6.1.x acts as both the WSRP 2.0 producer and consumer. At the time of publication cooperative portlets (Property Broker) are known to not function when WeSphere Application Server 7.x acts as a WSRP 2.0 producer and WebSphere Portal Server 6.1.x acts as the WSRP 2.0 consumer. We anticipate this limitation will be addressed in future Portlet Factory releases.
Note: Although Portlet Factory generates applications that conform to the WSRP 1.0 and WSRP 2.0 specifications, IBM provides no explicit support for the production or consumption of portlets for specific WSRP compliant portlet containers, portal servers and application servers other than IBM WebSphere Portal and IBM WebSphere Application Server.
