Use the Bean Master Detail builder to access data and information stored in the form of a Java bean.
The builder introspects a bean to discover any get methods and set methods on the bean. This builder accepts a reference to a collection of beans or an iterator on a collection of beans. This builder supports create, edit, update and delete operations on beans.
To interact with a single bean object, use the Data Page builder to access it directly.
The Bean Master Detail builder takes a reference to a collection of Java Beans and creates a table view that includes create and edit forms for that bean, the navigation mechanisms between those views, and hooks for tying in user-provided methods at significant stages of the flow.
You can use methods generated by this builder to call other methods that you write to operate on the backend database.
The paging function (Paged data display
input) available in the Bean Master Detail builder produces inconsistent paging results. For example, if you perform a page action that reduces the bean Collection by one, correct paging results. If you perform another page action that adds a new member to the Collection, paging indicates the Collection is one less than its actual content. The incorrect paging makes it look as if the additional data is not present.
