Use this builder to sort elements in a schema typed XML variable.
The builder can save the sorted results to the original source or can preserve the original source of the transform operation.
In most common uses of this builder, the following inputs are important.
- You can select an XML data source (either a variable, a reference, or a data service that returns as output an iXML structure).
- You can use an existing method or action for the transform operation (which can be the output of another transform builder).
Use this builder to generate an LJO, edit the class, and specify the edited LJO as input to this builder.
- You can sort based on a string, number, or date in the XML input.
Key objects this builder creates
This builder creates a new data service operation that generates an iXML structure that contains the transformed results. Additionally, it can create the following output.
- A schema.
If you specify a variable or reference as the source for the transform operation and that source does not define a schema type, the builder can create a schema based on the source.
- An LJO with methods that you can call.
This feature lets you export a Java class based on builder inputs, edit the class, and use the edited LJO as input to another transform builder.
