The Dojo Form Dialog builder lets you display a model page from within a popup dialog style window.
You typically use this builder to present in a dialog box an input form created by the page automation family of builders. The Dojo Form Dialog builder adds the proper submit or cancel buttons to the dialog box to control the form submission and closes the dialog box if the form inputs validate successfully or if the dialog is cancelled.
This builder was designed primarily for use with a single page input form, and not to run multi-page sub applications within a dialog. It was also designed to work with page automation generated input forms (e.g. created with Data Page, Input Form or a higher level builder built on Data Page) and not for manually created forms with low level text input builders.
The builder input provides the following basic areas of control.
How to launch the dialog
How to populate the form data
How to display the dialog
How to handle data submission
See the builder inputs for the details of each of these areas of control.
Note: The dialog section must be located outside of any partial page refresh area, which this builder places at the end of the <body> tag of the page.

Key objects this builder creates
When you select an option in the Action type
input, the builder generates a model action that you can invoke manually from a UI action builder, for example, Image Button builder or Client Event Handler builder. The generated action is constructed by prefixing the builder call name with showDojoDialog
. For example, if your builder call name is Order
, the trigger action method name is showDojoDialogOrder
