You can generate a report for the models that are used in your project.
The Model Inspection tool generates a report about the models in your project. This report summarizes how models are constructed and whether the models follow some of the documented best practices.
If you have a project open in the WebSphere® Portlet Factory Designer, you can generate and view a summary report and analysis of the models that are used. The output consists of an HTML file and multiple CSV files. The HTML file provides hints and tips about best practices that could be used to improve your models.
- In the WebSphere Portlet Factory Designer, click Project -> Build Model Report.
- In View generated report, click Yes.
- In the Edit view, a browser window opens the HTML file created.
The output files are stored in the Reports folder under the project folder with unique names so that you can maintain output generated at different times. You can use the generated CSV files as input to a spreadsheet program to perform further formatting and analysis. You can delete the files after you are finished using them.
- To view a previously generated HTML file, in Project Explorer, navigate to the Reports folder, right-click the file, and click Open With -> Web Browser.
The file is opened in the Eclipse embedded web browser.
The generated HTML file contains the following information.
