The family of transform builders offers multiple ways you can operate on data delivered in a service provider model.
Typically, you can add a transform builder to your service provider model, associate it with an existing data service, add a Service Operation builder for the transform operation, and expose that transform operation as an operation in your provider model. The added transform operation is the operation that you call from service consumer.
Because each transform builder itself creates a new data service operation and wraps the targeted operation, you can chain together multiple transform builders in this manner. For example, with this chaining you can call a single service operation to have the results from a data service operation be both filtered by a Transform Filter builder and sorted by a Transform Sort builder.
You can use the following ways to operate on data delivered in a service provider model.
- Transform the data service operation results.
- Transform the data service operation inputs.
