Re: Combining a Category Tree and JSR 286 Web Content Viewer Portlet

This solution should in theory work without a lookaside database configured when the updateSourceProfile parameter is set to false? Please confirm.

Re: Combining a Category Tree and JSR 286 Web Content Viewer Portlet

Wonderful post! It may be helpful to your readers to note that part of the initial setup steps should include Enabling the ajpecatselect module in WCM.

Ensure the connect.businesslogic.module.ajpecatselect.class property is defined in the WCM WCMConfigService service with a value of com.aptrix.pluto.CategoryProfileUpdaterModule.

The file can be found at:

/PortalServer/wcm/shared/app/config/wcmservices directory

I added the following under section 2g. Utility Modules - START, in the file:

# Cat Select Trees (for content subscription model)

connect.businesslogic.module.ajpecatselect.class=com.aptrix.pluto.CategoryProfileUpdaterModule

Restart portal.
