To Srini: I just tested the sample download and it worked for me - please try again, if it still fails please make sure you are accessing the Greenhouse files repository with a supported browser and a stable network connection.

Re: IBM WebSphere Portal JavaScript API Sample Portlets

To Venkats question: it looks like a part of the post is missing (probably a source code snippet). Trying to answer from what I understand: you can not set or modify any render parameters by JavaScript code when triggering a render request with the XML portlet request. The render URL including all render parameters must be generated on the server side. I would suggest to use a POST action request, pass on the dynamic request parameters with the action and handle the change of the render parameter in the processAction method on the portlet.

Hi ,

I need to send a value in a text box, which is in a theme as a render parameter(can be a public render parameter too) to a portlet on a page, please let me know how to do it. I am using to generate the url to the portlet instance.

The link you provided to the source code download requires a user ID and password on the Lotus Files site (which I don't happen to have). Could you remove the the protection on the site, or let us know how we can obtain a user ID and password?
