6.5 What to do when Portal product updates are needed for a solution release move

If you are planning to move your portal release to a new environment, you will need to ensure that the portal server you are moving to is at the same update level as the one you are moving from.   Updates must be applied to the target portal server environment in the same manner that they were applied to the source server environment.   There is no facility to move updates from one server to another; instead each server (the source server and the target server) must be dealt with independently.
