TECH-B02 Enterprise Architecture for the Rest of Us
Joey Bernal, CTO, Element Blue
Peter Blinstrubas, IBM Software Architect
Portals by their very nature are enterprise projects, often affecting all the other major components in an organization’s IT environment. Understanding enterprise architecture (EA) is important for anyone who is managing, developing or planning portal projects. This session will provide an introduction to EA and discuss various components of enterprise software and how those fit into an enterprise and portal strategy. Included will be security, user management and data services strategies. Beginners will gain a basic understanding of how other IBM technologies fit in an overall portal environment. Experienced architects will learn new patterns that they can fit into a future project. (Level: Intermediate)
