TECH-D14 Constructing the Exceptional Web Experience: Best Practices in Creating a Multichannel Personalized Web Experience
Jon Harris, User Experience Architect, Web Experience Products, IBM Jerh O’Connor, Chief Programmer, Web Experience Templates, IBM
Most exceptional web experiences are built from a variety of integrated technologies. These typically include web content, applications, forms, social capabilities and multichannel delivery, such as mobile devices. Building a seamlessly integrated Exceptional Web Experience that spans all these technologies can be challenging. This session will use the all-new IBM Government Template to walk you through best practices for creating an integrated web experience with a variety of technologies, including CTC Web Content Manager templates, Forms Experience Builder forms, custom Web Experience Factory applications, social content and capabilities from IBM Connections, social media integration, mobile responsiveness and more. You will see how to plan, design and implement a single “on-the-glass” experience from a variety of technologies by getting all these parts communicating and operating together, and controlling the complete appearance of all these parts with Web Content Manager templates. Further, you will learn to use the site as a multichannel delivery platform that provides content to web, mobile, Facebook, Twitter, linkedIn, Connections and others. You should leave this session with knowledge of how to design and implement an exceptional social and mobile web experience that delights your customers, employees and citizens. (Level: Intermediate)
