TECH-D27 IBM Portlet Container Tools for WebSphere Application Server Liberty Profile
Rudy Chetty, Senior Consultant, Avnet Services
Journey along with one man as he seeks to recover the lost JSP fragments from the all-knowing WebSphere Portal. During this session, the presenter will share experiences, lessons learned and recommendations as he describes the processes he used to migrate a WebSphere Portal V6 theme to a V8 theme while keeping the same functionality and, more or less, the same look and feel. The adventure begins with a multiskinned V6 theme and ends with a grand battle that entails combining all the HTML elements themselves into a visionary feat of development marvel. You’ll encounter hijinks, dojo goblins and the ever present modular framework as you attempt to refactor theme code so that the CSS lines up. And, eventually, using this one V8 theme will surely save the client from having to redo everything from scratch. (Level: Intermediate)
